I’ve put the socks down for a while, because I have some actual deadlines coming up. Between birthdays and conferences, my needles are going to be flying this spring!
First up, the Piano Scarf:
My idea is to have piano keys at each end of the scarf, with a few music notes in white drifting up from the keys. The middle of the scarf will be solid black. I’m making this up as I go along, so I keep crossing my fingers when I try something new. I wouldn’t recommend knitting with crossed fingers. Not so much fun.
The first end is finished, and so far things are coming along well. I’ve charted out a few different music notes, but I’m thinking they might be too big. We’ll see.
This is being knit in the round, and when it’s finished I’ll sew up the ends and block it flat. In theory, it should work!
Then there are the beanies I’m crocheting for my bro (I’m pretty sure he doesn’t read this blog, so I’m safe!):
I did the top of this in one night while we were watching Ice Age, and the rest was finished during a few lunch breaks at work. This thing popped out so fast, I think I’ll pick up a couple more colors and do another one, solid with a few stripes toward the edge.
